I finally have all my bike bags, so now test-packing them to see how much gear I can fit, and what should go in what bag.

Rediscovered what an absolute unit my sleeping bag is; it doesn't even go through the opening of my frontloader's dry bag. There goes the hope of getting the entire sleep system in one bag 😥

@rain So while my sleeping bag doesn't go in the frontloader, the friggin' tent does. Can't fit the tent + sleeping pad, though, so I'll need to figure out an alternative solution for the sleep system.

Could probably shove them both into a pannier bag, but long-term I'd like to get a more compact bag + pad so I can fit everything easier.

@rain Two things!

1. The sleeping bag is synthetic, so it doesn't compress very well. If/when I buy a new one I'll probably go for a down fill, as those compress way more (but are pricier).
2. The sleeping bag does compress quite a lot, but mostly in the length of the bag. The girth remains the same, which is why it doesn't go in the bag.
